I LOVE hair, love it! Short, long, medium, thick, thin, I don’t care, I firmly believe every can rock a head of awesome hair you just need the tools to do so! Over the years I have had overhaul after overhaul when it comes to my hair, from long to short, to bright red, to dark brown its always something different I have learned that changing my style can make a big difference in how I feel! The biggest obstacle I needed to learn though was how to change my style with out damaging my hair. Bleaching my hair was definitely killing it off at a fast pace! I now keep it dark but there are so many things I can do to change it and have a different look all the time, with little to no damage! Check out my hair do’s!
Lets start with hair clips/bows You can spice up a look with a funky hair accessory. They sell them everywhere from your local walmart to Claire’s in many malls, I choose to make all mine, they are different and one of a kind and typically all they take is some hot glue and an imagination!

This hair clip was made from a hat I purchased at a local thrift store. I took the black flower off and with some inexpensive read feathers I hot glued them to a plain black hair barrett I got from Walmart, After they dried I postitioned it in my hair the way I like!

This one was special to me. It was New Years Eve and a few of my girl friends all got their hair done but I couldn't afford it. So instead I went through and curled my hair and teased the top, then with some bobby pins i pinned the curls up in the back like a formal up-do. It wasn't done yet though, I needed something, so I made another hair clip! My dress was all black along with my shoes so for a pop of color I took blue and green feathers along with some left over rhinestones and costume fringe and hot glued them all to a barret. The beauty of this kind of hair clip is that it doesn't need to look perfect, the rhinestones don't need to all line up, it creates a fun look, and I definitely stood out!

This was just last month, there was a party my boyfriend and I were invited too and everyone was wearing black. My hair wasn't really doing what I wanted and I didn't have time to make anything so I took an old black scarf and tied it like a headband around my head. I then secured it in a bow on the right side of my head!
Now for length and color! I constantly want to cut my hair, then grow it, OR I want to be a blonde and a month later I’m like NEVER MIND BRUNETTE! I have learned the extensions can make a world of difference. Either clip in extensions from your local Sally Beauty Supply, or going to a salon and getting them put in. I have done everything from highlight my hair through extensions, have purple streaks, go super long, tons of options and it doesn’t damage your hair one bit!

Anyone can do this one! Its my natural hair, with some purple extension pieces I scattered through out my hair, I created a fun funky look!

Basic clip ins, I used a little dry shampoo (something as inexpensive as Suave will do!) throughout my hair so the clip would have something to grip too. I then just clipped them around my head, from left side to right! I chose to use hot rollers but you can also just use a fat curling iron to create this one!

This was so fun! I actually was at a salon for this look because it was for a photo shoot with "Looking Glass Girls Photography" but it still is super simple. Again with the clip in extensions all over, we then curled them and teased them to give them a messy look. After it was curled she secured my hair into low pig tails and added some red clip in pieces for some accent color! The last touch was a simple red ribbon bobby pinned to my head like a headband! All in all it took 15 mins and it appears like it too much longer, plus my hair at the time of this shoot was only chin length!

Graduation day! It was warm out and I was itching to go back blond, but I knew it was really screw up my hair. So instead I went to my stylist and she put blond extensions through out my hair giving it a blond highlighted look! I was thrilled with the out come and I no bleach was needed!
These are just my tips, if you are anything like me and get scissor happy with your hair the minute you have a bad day then maybe these looks will be helpful! Little side note, all these pictures were taken within a small time frame!! 2010-Present!
I love all the different looks – You are gorgeous! I am the same with my hair, I cut it like Halle Berry last year and loved it, now going back to long again. One of my favorite products is called ‘dust it’ for volume, have you heard of it? I think you might like it. XOXO
